Privacy Policy

Effective Date: November 5, 2025 | Last Updated: July 27, 2026

Citizens for Daniel Lee ("we," "us," "our") operates citizens4daniellee.com. This policy explains what information we collect on this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

When you submit the volunteer sign-up form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the volunteer activities you selected.

Information collected automatically:

When you visit this site, third-party services we use may receive your IP address and standard browser information as described in Section 3.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit through the volunteer form solely to contact you about campaign volunteer activities and, if you opted in, to send you campaign-related SMS/MMS messages. We do not use your information for commercial marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices:

EmailJS — processes volunteer form submissions on our behalf. Your submitted data is transmitted through EmailJS servers. See emailjs.com for their privacy policy.

Google Fonts — loads website typography from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log your IP address when fonts are requested. See policies.google.com/privacy.

YouTube — we embed a campaign video hosted on YouTube. When the video loads, Google/YouTube may set cookies on your device, including cookies used for advertising. See policies.google.com/privacy. You can reject YouTube cookies using our cookie preference tool.

Square — donation links on this site open Square's website, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy. We do not process or store payment information. See squareup.com for their privacy policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not set first-party tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioral advertising tracker.

YouTube sets cookies from Google when the embedded video is loaded. These cookies may be used by Google for advertising purposes. You can prevent these cookies by clicking "Reject Non-Essential" in the cookie banner, which will block the video embed until you choose to play it manually.

5. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 3, and only as needed to operate this website and process your requests.

If you send us a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser, we treat it as an opt-out of any data sharing that could be considered a "sale" under applicable law, and we will automatically reject non-essential cookies.

6. SMS/MMS Messaging

When you opt in to receive SMS/MMS communications — by submitting the volunteer form and checking the consent box — you agree to receive informational and campaign-related messages from Citizens for Daniel Lee. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at info@citizens4daniellee.com or (630) 259-6652.

We will never sell your mobile opt-in data or share it with unrelated third parties.

7. Data Retention

Volunteer form submissions are retained for the duration of the campaign and deleted after the campaign concludes, unless you request deletion sooner. You may request deletion of your information at any time using the contact information in Section 9.
